The awards ceremony for the international Yandex ML Prize was held in Moscow. This year, all three winners in the ‘ML Educators’ category were HSE faculty members—Evgeny Sokolov, Associate Professor and Head of the Big Data and Information Retrieval School, Anton Konushin, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science, and Aleksei Shpilman, Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics at HSE’s St Petersburg School of Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

The ‘Game Engineering and Interactive Systems’ workshop team of the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM) invites everyone to participate in testing the Claw Engine, the first version of their game development program. This new tool allows for processing three-dimensional images and programming one’s own scripts.
The AI Lingua Neural Network has been collaboratively developed by the HSE University’s AI Research Centre, School of Foreign Languages, and online campus. The model has been trained on thousands of expert assessments of both oral and written texts. The system evaluates an individual's ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
On September 20, a delegation from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) visited HSE University. The Rector of HSE University Nikita Anisimov and the Chairman of the Academy Châu Văn Minh discussed promising avenues for cooperation in the fields of education and science. From August 19 to 29, the Continuing Professional Development Centre of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science hosted the summer school 'Cardiogenetics: From Sequencing to Constructing a Cardio Panel,' organised in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute of Analytical Instrumentation (IAI) and Institute of Spectroscopy (ISAN), and the Syntol company. The summer school was conducted within the framework of the Federal Research Programme for Genetic Technologies Development for 2019–2027 (Project 15.IP.21.0004).
